Ghanaian Afrobeat singer, Kelvyn Boy has indicated that he created Afrobeat and deserves to be recognized and awarded.
Kelvin Boy revealed this during an interview with Elikem Kumordzi on the VGMA 22 red carpet show, the final edition. Kelvyn Brown, popularly known by his stage name Kelvyn Boy explained that he deserved the Afrobeat Artiste of the Year award 2021 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
The former Burniton Music signee appeared on the red carpet with a fascinating apparel. When asked the popular question of ‘what are you wearing’ he answered by saying, “l am wearing ‘GROUNGE’ which was co-styled by his personal stylist.
Since the VGMA, he has not twitted anything concerning the award, this clearly shows how disappointed he is.
VGMA 22 came off last Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of June respectively at the Grande Arena in Accra. the night saw top winners like Diana Hamilton, Adina ,Kuame Eugene, and others taking home different awards with Diana Hamilton emerging as the artiste of the year.
