Talented underground rapper from Kumasi, Khoby Kris has stated that Ghana music industry doesn’t favour underground musicians like himself.

Khoby Kris made this known when he had an exclusive chit chat with Eben Owurachy of Kessben TV.

According to the former Kumasi Anglican SHS student, though he has been actively doing music for 5 years, he still go through a lot of trouble before his songs get to radio stations and DJs in the country for airplay.

He even revealed that it is more difficult for an upcoming musician to breakthrough nationwide from Kumasi where he is based currently.

The other two major challenges he stated unknown musicians face are getting a good record label and support from the very people who call themselves fans of your music.

Khoby Kris, who mentioned Obrafour, Sarkodie, Medikal and more recently Kuami Eugene as the artistes he looks up to, was hopeful that he will get nationwide attention in the near future.
