A defeated aspiring parliamentary cnadidate for Old-Tafo constituency in the just-ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary primaries, Prince Odeneho Oppong has denied reports that he is demanding from delegates some money and goodies he shared.
Odeneho Oppong reiterated that he has not ordered anybody to chase any delegates for his money and other goodies he gave to them during the just-ended primaries.
There were reports that the incumbent legislature and his supporters are chasing after delegates to collect some monies and items allegedly distributed to them for votes after they voted against him but the MP denied such reports.
“I haven’t asked and ordered anybody to go after delegates to retrieve my money,” the defeated Aspiring Candidate told Kessben Breaking News in Kumasi and monitored by TVNEWSGH.COM
“All that I did was to supporting the party and the delegates, so I can’t say I gave them 1000 or 2000” he said
Prince Oppong established that he would be contesting for another election in 2024 primaries if NPP nominations.
“I’m telling the delegates to exercise patient and I will encourage them that I, Prince Odeneho Oppong will be back in 2024 for another election” he stressed
Vincent Ekow Assafuah won the Old Tafo constituency primaries of the ruling New Patriotic Party.
With total votes of 299, Vincent Ekow Assafuah was able to beat his 5 other contenders.
His closest contender Dr. Louisa Serwaa Carole had 133.
Other contenders including; Prince Odeneho Oppong had 90, Archibald Acquah got no vote, Emmanuel Obeng had 44 and Lord Inusah Lansah had 27.
