NPP sets 2oth June to hold primaries…

Information gathered by TVNEWSGH.COM indicates that the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) is expected to hold its parliamentary primaries for constituencies where they have their sitting MPs on June 20, 2020.

it is also expected to have primaries at the electoral areas and not the previous format whereby all the delegates met at the particular place to vote.

According to the party, is meant to help prevent the congregation of many people at a place to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19.)

The National Council of the NPP is on Wednesday, meeting to trash out the details of the primaries.

The meeting which started around 3:30 pm was still ongoing as of 7pm.

Present at the meeting are President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Chairman of the NPP, Mr Freddie Blay , Gen Secretary of the party, John Boadu, among other executives

Apart from the primaries, the portal also learnt that other issues being discussed is whether or not to declare President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the flag bearer of the party by popular acclamation.
