Ghanaian Hiplife Rapper Okyeame Kwame has added his voice to the controversy surrounding the President of the Republic of Ghana shortlisted names of Ministers and their Deputies he has proposed to be the wheels of his government.
The most ministry which has caught the attention of many is The Tourism, Arts and Culture and of which media and entertainment personality Mark Okraku Mantey is one of the prospect candidate shortlisted to possibly hold the Deputy Minister of this ministry.

When the name was made public and Okraku Mantey’s name was in the list, Dancehall Artist Shatta Wale took to his Facebook page and made a live feed in which he churned his anger and disbelieve as to why Mark Okraku Mantey has been shortlisted for the position of Deputy Minister for the Tourism, Art and Culture.

According to Shatta Wale, Mark Okraku Mantey is nowhere close among the many Ghanaians who have the knowledge, ideas, and understanding to help the creative arts industry.

Shatta Wale with his opinion, revealed that, Mark Okraku Mantey is best in doing media work but not in the technical aspect in the industry.

In short, Mark Okraku Mantey has not contributed anything technical in the entertainment space which qualifies him to be appointed the position of the deputy minister.

However, in an interview with Ghpage TV, Hiplife artist Okyeame Kwame, who is also versed in the creative arts and culture and tourism, has a parallel opinion with that of Shatta Wale.

According to Okyeame Kwame, Mr. Mark Okraku Mantey indeed deserves more than just a deputy position but instead the Minister proper.

Defending his view, The “Ye Ko” crooner said Mark Okraku Mantey has managed him as an artist and he was good at his work the space of artist management.

Again, Okyeame Kwame also said, Okraku Mantey has been in the creative arts industry for a very long time which he believes he has advance knowledge and ideas to help build the creative arts industry to a level they are anticipating reaching.

Adding to his reasons, he said Okraku Mantey has contributed enough on the creative art board of which he helped government passed a bill for the industry.

Mark Okraku Mantey
Politically, Okyeame Kwame also said Mark is known to be an NPP member and if he is to express his views base on reality of political appointment, nobody have to challenge Okraku Mantey because, he is an NPP member and deserve to be appointed for a position because of his membership and contribution to the NPP party.

Comparing himself to Mark Okraku Mantey, Okyeame Kwame affirmatively said Okraku deserves the position and nobody should believe he doesn’t.
