On Saturday 15th May 2021, the youth of Juaben had their maiden youth seminar. The program dubbed ” Youth Empowerment Seminar ” is the brainchild of Lawyer Victor Kusi, a native of Asante Juaben who is also a youth activist.
The program to be held every month, aims at empowering the youth of Juaben to take their own destiny in their hands by tapping into their God-given talents for their personal development and to contribute to the total development of Juabenman.
The maiden edition was under the theme ” Harnessing the potential of our youth for development” and was addressed by Nana Kwanfo Kwanin, Appianyasehene of Juaben. He said that the Juabenhene has provided the town with all the infrastructure and facilities of every modern town. What is left of us is to take advantage of them to create jobs for ourselves through education and skill training.
Nana Kwanfo Kwanin speaking on the topic ” Identifying your potential in life” admonished the youth to always listen to the voice within them and follow their dreams. He told them that, as we pursue our life dreams, we may suffer failures and challenges but that should not discourage us.
The other dignitaries present took turns to share their life experiences with the youth and promised their unflinching support for the program. Nana Biribireba Boateng donated Ghc 5,000. 00 as seed money to organise the subsequent seminars.
