The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly decongestion exercise aimed at controlling human and Vehicular traffic has been successfully moved the hawkers from the street of Central Business District in the Metropolis.
The exercise was also ensuring covid-19 protocols are observed to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Kumasi on day two of the exercise.
KMA task force led by the Metro Security commander stormed the CBD to decongest the place since their time given to them by the Assembly was elapsed yesterday 1st February,2021.
When TVNEWSGH.COM reporter, Osempakani Sampson visited some areas where there was no overcrowding as compared to the previous days like Adum, Dr Mensah, Roman Hill and Kejetia.
TVNEWGH.COM can confirm that most of the petty traders are moved to the satellites markets as was contained in KMA Major’s directives issued to the press yesterday during the start of the exercise.
The task force was directed to destroy sales tables belonging to some of the recalcitrants petty traders.
During the visit, it was noted that residents and vehicles are moving freely without heavy traffic as seen in the previous days.
