Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency in Ashanti Region Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye has confirmed the rumour that he knelt down before his delegates and begged them to bring for election 2020 as their Parliamentary Candidate.
Mr. Okyem Aboagye affirmed that it was imperative for him to do so since the NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Wontumi) had already knelt down and begged them to give the President Akufo Addo four more years to do more.

“Yes I joined Chairman Wontumi to kneel down and begged them because I cannot sit there to see my Chairman to beg whiles me the host MP will not do same. I quickly go down on my kneels asked them to bring me as their MP for this years elections” Bantama MP

The Ashanti Regional NPP Executives led by its Chairman have embarked on project to visit all the constituencies in the region to explain to the party members on the policies and the programs of the party.
It is also to ascertain the first hand information from the party members on the ground what is not going down well with the people.
In a meeting at the Cultural Centre chaired by the 2nd National Vice Chairman Mr. Frederick Fredua Antoh, with the aim of showcasing the achievement of the NPP government this drama ensued

Speaking on Kessben news and monitored by TVNEWSGH.COM, Hon Okyem Aboagye justified his action saying, he hit the nail right in the head to kneel and beg the delegates, “Nana Addo even begged for power”
