Dr. Serwaa Donkor Electrifies Old Tafo Constituency; Files Nomination Forms

A Presidential Staffer,Dr. Serwaa Donkor has picked up nomination forms to contest in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Old Tafo constituency of the Ashanti Region.

Dr. Donkor was accompanied by delegates and friends, family members, friends from the media to file her nomination forms at the party constituency office on Tuesday, February 18, 2020.

Dr. Donkor who is also the Communication Strategist on sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the Jubilee House, while addressing the delegates and supporters after the presentation assured them of a new hope for Old Tafo Constituency.

She noted that “We have worked hard. We still will and God will help us. We present and represent new hope for Old Tafo constituency.”

The NPP will hold its parliamentary primaries on April 25, 2020 for constituencies where it has sitting mps across the country to elect their parliamentary candidates.

Speaking to the delegates and supporters who accompanied her to file the nomination forms, the ‘Sweet Girl’ of Old Tafo promised to continue the good legacy of the former MP Dr Anthony Akoto Osei when the delegates give her the chance to serve.

“Old Tafo is my constituency and I have been working in the constituency from polling station level for the party. I can assure you that I will be mother for all to grow together”.

Dr. Serwaa Donkor then appealed to the king makers in the area to vote for her when the time is due to become the NPP’s parliamentary candidate.

Some of the delegates who spoke to this reporter made emphatic statement that they need Dr. Serwaa Donkor because she is more than qualified.

They observed that she is well articulated, very smart, very intelligent, well packaged, respectful, and above all she can deliver on the job.

” Four aspirants have picked forms to contest but only Dr. Serwaa Donkor is a women. Masa it is about time we encouraged the women to take part in active politics to get more women to compete with the men especially in Parliament ” Delegates added


“Braa look, when the constituency was Suame/ Old Tafo, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah was our MP then it became Old Tafo, Dr. Akoto Osei came, please just look at these personalities now if Dr. Akoto is gone, Dr. Donkor comes that is all” a delegate narrated
