The Assembly members of of the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region are calling on the President Akufo-Addo to maintain the Hon. Amoah Awuku Michael as the MCE to help accelerate development of the municipality.
“Hon. Awuku should be re-appointed otherwise our development will be retarded” Assembly members said
The majority of the elected Assembly Members in the Municipality appeal seeks to address some concerns raised by the supporters of an independent candidate during the last Parliamentary election trying to tarnish the image of the hard working MCE.
“President Nana Addo Danqwah Akuffo-Addo will re-appoint the current Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Michael Amoah Awuku to continue his good works”
According to them, the MCE performed extremely well over the past four years and they believe he will do much better for the twenty-one (21) electoral areas if he is maintained by the President.
“We are informing our listening President that changing Micheal Amoah Awuku will cause a delay in the progress of Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality considering the good and services he has rendered to the Municipality since his appointment” the statement noted.
They added that, their MCE had proven beyond a reasonable doubt since he assumed office.
“We are appealing that if someone else is brought to us aside from our MCE, we will vote against that new person” Assembly members added.
