Covid-19 scare: Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Ministry suspends passport services

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has suspended passport services with immediate effect.

This is in line with government’s directive to check the spread of the coronavirus(covid-19) pandemic.

“Applicants will not be admitted to vetting and capture procedures and also for collection of processed passports ” a Press statement issued by the Foreign Affairs Ministry said on Thursday.

All Passport application centres remain closed effective today, March, 19, 2020, the statement noted.

Ghana’s confirmed cases shot to 11 on Thursday afternoon barely 24hrs after the nation recorded additional 2 cases overnight.
