Alhaji Kofi Baryeh, Ashanti Regional Chief Pharmacist on Tuesday, 18th February 2020 filed his nomination papers to vie for the NPP forthcoming parliamentary primaries at the Nsuta, Kwamang, Beposo constituency.
Storming the party office in Nsuta, Alhaji Baryeh with supporters presented bankers draft of GHC20,000, GHC30,000 of development fee, passport pictures, CV and other requirements to make his task completed.
He said, he needed to accomplish all that was required of him to be a proper candidate before the April 25 parliamentary primaries in the constituency.
Alhaji Baryeh stressed that it was important that those who believe in the practice of democracy submit themselves to all processes that go with same in the New Patriotic Party.
‘’I came this afternoon to file my nomination and to fulfill my obligation as an aspirant of the NPP so that I can stand for the 25th April parliamentary contest in this constituency’’, Aljaji calmly noted.
Speaking to TVNEWSGH.COM after the filing process, he noted that his desire to work for the retention of the NPP in power in 2020 and beyond.
According to him, the longer the party stays in power the better for the people of the country as well as party members to secure jobs.
He indicated that he has come into the contest to bring unity among the party faithfuls and the entire constituency. “The party in tatters and divided which needs some one to come and bring unity among them”
“It is my outer most desire to see this constituency growing from strength to strength in development. And as our motto goes ‘Development in Freedom'”
Alhaji Kofi Baryeh was of the view that he is only person to lead the party in order to increase the party’s votes.
He also promised a clean campaign as they move into serious politicking to campaign for votes.
“I will ensure my followers won’t insult my opponents and any body, this contest is all about ideas but not insult”
Alhaji Baryeh expressed appreciation to his constituents for the support they had shown him and asked that they continue to ensure together they work for the betterment of the NPP party whether he wins or not.
