A send-off ceremony dubbed “pull-out” was organized for the Commanding Officer of the National Police Training School (NPTS) today, at Accra. ACP/Madam Deborah Addison-Campbell, who served as the Commanding Officer for the NPTS from 2014 to 2019 is the second female Policewoman to command the training school.
She has 39 years of service to her credit, serving in various capacitiess at both local and international levels of policing.
During her tenure as the Commanding Officer at the NPTS, innovative programmes such as child-friendly policing and empowering recruits to take up leadership positions were introduced.
The ceremony was attended by several Police Officers, officers from other Security Services and family members. Members of the National Association of Retired Police Officers were also present to receive ACP Addison-Campbell into their fold.
Per the Ghana Police tradition, Madam Deborah handed over the training school’s “colour” to the Acting Commanding Officer, ACP. Mr. Ernest Akrasi Mensah.
