Bishop said, he cannot remember the last time President Akufo-Addo made pronouncement on the floor of Parliament in his State of the Nation Address to construct a new chamber for the parliamentarians.
The man of God indicated that the leadership of Parliament must be careful dealing with such issue especially when tempers of Ghanaians are high.
“Times are hard, contractors are not been paid, some businesses are now folding up and so on” he added
“The government is rolling so many policies out to help Ghanaians but these policies like free SHS alone cannot solve the economic problem in the country” he said
He observed that the parliamentarians need the new chamber but the timing is not good.
“We need everything in this country but the money is not there, the timing is so wrong to push this agenda”
Bishop J. Y. Adu was contributing to the panel member discussion on ‘Amansan Ntie’ on Kessben Media and monitored by TVNEWSGH.COM
He used the opportunity to advice the NPP government to manage the issue of such nature so well that it will not affect the party’s fortune.
Bishop J Y Adu therefore called on the MPs to tone down on this move for now and concentrate on discharging their duty perfectly as law makers to gain the public confidence.
